Ice Flyers drop final regular season game 4-1, will face Fayetteville in playoffs

The Pensacola Ice Flyers (27-21-8) dropped their final game of the 2016-17 regular season by a score of 4-1 to the Knoxville Ice Bears (29-20-7) on Saturday night in the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.

John McLean stopped 21 of the 24 shots on goal he faced from the Ice Bears.

The Ice Flyers will take on the Fayetteville FireAntz in Round One of the 2017 SPHL President’s Cup Playoffs. Game One will take place on Tuesday, April 11, at 6:00 p.m. Central Time inside the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C. Game Two will be played at the Pensacola Bay Center on Thursday, April 13, with a 7:05 p.m. CT puck drop. Game Three, if necessary, will be played on Sunday, April 16, at 5:00 p.m. CT in Fayetteville.
